Not only is TeebaudŽ one of the finest nonskid rug underlays on the market today, it is the ONE rug pad that does it all: Teebaud prevents a rug from wrinkling, buckling, crawling or moving on any type of flooring (hard floor as well as wall-to-wall carpet). When used on a smooth floor, the dark side of the underlay faces down on the floor. When used on wall-to-wall carpeting, the white side faces down on the carpet.
The superior qualities of Teebaud are a result of engineering directed at obtaining the best nonskid performance for a rug pad. The product is made of two different polyester fibers needle-punched together and coated, on both sides, with a specially formulated water-based pressure sensitive dry adhesive which will outperform pads coated with a plain polymeric-acrylic resin. Teebaud's two components, containing 12 ounces of fiber per square yard, gives to the pad enough body and density to resist the horizontal movement that creates the buckling effect of the underlay under the rug. This is why Teebaud has almost one pound of fiber per yard, compared to most competing products which commonly have only 3 to 4 ounces of fiber. The light cushioning effect allows the pad and the rug to breathe together with no risk of oxidation or discoloration to any flooring surface. Teebaud will not give a permanent bond to the floor. It is a repositionable underlay: harmless to carpeting, floors and rugs.

Installing TeebaudŽ Rug Pad on a Smooth Flooring Surface
Flooring surface should be clean and dry. Cut rug pad with scissors or utility knife about 1"-3" smaller than the rug to be installed. Remove the plastic release liner. Place the rug pad's gray side down, facing the smooth flooring surface. Then place the rug on top of the rug pad's white side.

Since there are all sorts of rug and spot cleaners on the market, and many theories exist as to which ones are the best, we recommend calling a professional carpet cleaning company. Make sure to tell them the fiber contents of your rug, the type of stain, and the amount of time since it occurred. We feel that calling a professional is the safest, most effective way to extract the stain. Remember, it is always best to keep the amount of detergents and cleaning solvents used on a rug to a minimum.
